With Christmas just around the corner, the pre-prepared will have already started purchasing their gifts for the little ones. Well how about adding a £15,000 electric car to the list?

This is not the typical electric motor you may find in a toy shop however. The prestigious car-manufacturing company, Rolls-Royce, have created a miniature version of one of their most treasured cars – The 1907 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost AX201 – with the original worth £30 million.

Marked as the ‘best car in the world’ during the height of its production, the Silver Ghost was widely-recognised for its ‘legendary smoothness’ in the early 20th Century. This vintage replica was established to commemorate this, being one of the first successes within Rolls-Royce Limited. It sold for £15,000 (that’s roughly $25,000) at the Bonham’s Goodward Revival sale last weekend.

The chid-size model is a great rendition of the original, where Rolls-Royce have carefully noted all the little details in order to craft the most impressive mini-version they could. The replica even boasts the luxurious ‘Spirit of Ecstasy’ mascot that is placed on top of the aluminium bonnet.

Other marvellous features include rack-and-pinion steering, functioning headlights, a bulb horn, hand-brake and accelerator and brake pedals. The mini-vehicle can also reach a top speed of 8mph, as a result of the 24-volt electric motor. So don’t be too concerned about your children causing havoc at those speeds!

Adults don’t worry – you won’t miss out on the fun either thanks to the replica’s special hidden feature. If you fancy riding around in this miniature Rolls-Royce as well, then simply remove the front seats so that you too can fit inside the car. Rolls-Royce seem to have solved everything.

So if you think that your kids deserve spoiling and you are a fan of distinct classic cars, then you will have to fork out £15,000 for this exclusive vintage luxury.
