No matter if you have your big annual holiday to Bora Bora on the horizon, I feel like the little weekend trips we often take can be just as exciting. Keeping them short & sweet is the best way to enjoy busy city breaks, weekend beach parties & UK locations. With that in mind, I’d like to share with you 3 of my favourite hotels to escape to for the weekend…

Manchester
A lot more laid back than London but only a 30 minute drive away from the Cheshire country side, Manchester is the perfect UK city break to get away; without really getting away. There’s plenty to keep you busy in the city centre with the likes of a suitably sized Harvey Nichols, Michelin star restaurants & plenty of museums & art galleries to stroll the day away.
The only place to stay in Manchester is The Great John Street Hotel.
Forget the big commercial brands like the Hilton & the Malmaison, GJS is a hidden gem which, for me, makes it so much more appealing. Part of the Eclectic Hotels Group, GJS was originally a Victorian school house that has now been converted into a luxury townhouse retreat. The warm & homely decor has kept it true to its roots, while adding a little sparkle & a lot of luxury along the way. The Oyster Bar & mezzanine (above) are delightfully cosy for enjoying breakfast, sipping champagne or simply relaxing with a book. Or if relaxation isn’t your thing for the weekend, head up to the contemporary rooftop playground (below) to sip a cocktail or even have a quick soak in the hot tub while taking in the surrounding views of the city.
When you wake up in your cosy duplex room no matter what day of the week it is I can guarantee it’ll feel like a Sunday morning.

Nikki Beach Mallorca
Join the hottest people in the world for the sexiest parties of the summer at Nikki Beach. There is nowhere else you should want to be for your beach party weekend. It’s the place to be for all day, all night nonstop entertainment. By day, basque in the Spanish sunshine to the constant beat of chilled house; then roll into the evening with the sexiest fire breathing, acrobatic all night private beach parties. The Don Perignon & Crystal are practically on tap alongside gourmet nibbles… or a feast if you’d prefer, as you party the weekend away.
Of course you’ll be needing a comfy place to roll into at sunrise, & connected by a small private gate is the Melia Mallorca. A super cool, uber contemporary hotel with access straight onto the beach as well as to Nikki beach. You won’t need to go anywhere else your entire weekend. Simple, glamorous & fun.

New York
The Ultimate Weekend.
Whether you’ve been before or not, New York never gets old. It’s difficult to put into words how many ways you could spend your weekend here & just how much there is to do. Head over to the bright lights of the big apple to enjoy some of the world’s best shopping, dining & theatre experiences; while the likes of strolling through Central park & endless city spas offer the best relaxation that money can buy.
I do however suggest that you swap the tacky tourist shops & people swinging selfie sticks around in Times Square for the classic New York glamour of Soho. Based in the most stylishly affluent neighbourhood of the city, The Trump Soho (above) is within walking distance of everything you’ll need during your trip.
The impressive tower is located on the corner of Spring Street & Varick & oozes a warm contemporary New York style; while boasting some of the most impressive views of New York. Just blocks away from Chanel Soho, Dash NY, Kate Spade & some of the best bars & restaurants around, not including the 4 in house restaurants; you won’t fall short of ways to treat yourself. If the shopping becomes too much to handle (I stress the word IF), The Spa at Trump offers you access New York’s only private men & women’s Hammam spa with treatments lounges both in & outside for ultimate rejuvenation. Or simply swim it out in the rooftop pool with lunch on the deck… Perfection.
The Trump Soho is also an incredibly popular stay with some of the biggest names with the likes of Will Smith, Pharell Williams, Rhianna & Khloe Kardashian being regular visitors, you may just bump into someone you know...
