At the highest point of Cappadocia, steeped in the history of ancient Anatolia, there stands the natural rock citadel of Uçhisar. It is at this site of historical and natural preservation that you will find the Taskonaklar Cave Hotel.
What began as a dream for a family home quickly evolved into a vision for a hotel unlike any other. Working with expert architects and craftsmen, a thousand years of heritage, combined with passion and beauty, was at last ready to be shared with the world.
Each room was respectfully carved into the volcanic formations, preserving every stone, arch and chimney and resulting in a hotel that offers a different charm and character with every room. This same care and attention was also paid to the furnishings, using antique furniture and carpets to bring history back to life, but of course, with modern day amenities so that simplicity and comfort coincide.

To make this possible, every room is fitted with spacious bathrooms, minibars and free wireless internet, while the Lux Suits offer beautifully furnished living spaces and the Delux Suits enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding area from their private terraces.

From here, you’re no further than 6km from Nevşehir and Göreme, with Pigeon Valley only a short distance from your room. And if you tire of both the bustling city centres and serene calm of the valleys, you’ll be spoilt for choice for what to do.
Enjoy amateur pottery classes and horseback riding in the nearby village or a short excursion to the “fairy castle” and other local treks. Attend concerts and cultural attractions such as the Mevlevi Order, famously known as the Whirling Dervishes. Wake up early enough and you can sail through the Cappadocian valleys amongst a parade of hot air balloons. Or perhaps, you’d prefer simply to relax of an evening, take in the spectacular views and indulge in delicious home-cooked cuisine. Whatever your wish, the fairytale comes true here.
